The highlight for many on the trip seems to have been the amazing swimming pool complex, filled with the natural brine - many paid return visits in the evening.
Having arrived back at Pangbourne it is easy to see how it has benefitted the pupils.
Linguistically speaking, progress on such a trip depends on effort exerted and although benefits are varied in this respect, the hands on experience of Germany has already proved so valuable - all pupils have experiences to relate to and the subject has become real.

 Riverside Players
This year the Riverside Players are returning to Pangbourne College once again, this time with an outdoor production of The Taming of the Shrew.
There's something reminiscent of country house summers in the early part of the last century about the Riverside Players annual open air production -those heady days when guests would dip into the attic to pull out costumes and devise an entertainment, in which the fun of doing was just as important as the end result.
Pulling together a bunch of wannabe actors from all over, who work in just about every profession under the sun, for eight days of rehearsal and set-building, then five days of performance and with AA Milne's stage adaptation of Kenneth Graham's Wind in the Willows, Toad of Toad Hall is as English as it comes.

Worcester College Chapel | About the choirs | The Boys' Choir
Worcester is unique in Oxford colleges in maintaining two choirs, one of which upholds the age-old tradition of boy choristers.
During a period when most Oxbridge colleges abolished this tradition in favour of mixed voices, fortunately, Worcester opted to retain boy trebles who are drawn from the day boys of Christ Church Cathedral School.
With this good grounding there are opportunities for the boys to sit for music awards at their next school, and in recent years boys have achieved scholarships and exhibitions to schools including Abingdon, The Oratory, St Edwards, Bloxham, Wellington College and Pangbourne College.
