Pangnirtung (or Pang, also Pangniqtuuq, in syllabics: ᐸᖕᓂᖅᑑᖅ) is an Inuit hamlet in the Canadian territory of Nunavut (formerly in the Northwest Territories).
Pangnirtung is situated on a coastal plain at the coast of Pangnirtung Fjord, a fjord which eventually merges with Cumberland Sound.
Pangnirtung is nicknamed the Switzerland of the Arctic.

I read somewhere that there was a debate about whether to keep this shape originally from the Northwest Territories when Nunavut was created in 1999, and whether to allow the NWT to continue to use the shape since most of the bears live in Nunavut.

Pangnirtung, Clyde River and Sanikiluaq are the only communities setting their clocks one hour ahead of the rest of Nunavut, which operates on central time.
Maniapik wrote in the letter that he wanted to know whether all Nunavut MLAs were upset with Pangnirtungís refusal to join most other communities in adopting "Nunavut time." "It's mainly the elders we are listening to and they donít want to change," Maniapik told Nunatsiaq News.

After we left this inspirational spot we set sail for Pang in Nunavut (there is a longer name but I don't know how to spell it.) We ate lunch and waited for the custom officer to clear us (ughhhhh) and then we finally got to go ashore in Pangnirtung.
It was very interesting---saw bones of seals, whales, and even the remains of humans (their makeshift coffins had opened and spilled their contents or polar bears may have opened them).
We are all onboard now and will have a lecture on historic places of Baffin Island.and then we head to Pangnirtung which is a village on Baffin Island---Inuit (or natives of this area) live.
