		Panini is the brand name of an Italian firm producing collectable stickers, based in Modena and named after the Panini brothers, who founded it in 1961.

		Interestingly, the comics are perhaps the hardest to fit into continuity-they often show the Doctor with different companions then in the TV show, or no companions at all.
		However eventually Marvel UK and Panini comics got the license and most of their comics have been aimed at more of a fan audience.
		I recall Marvel had a Doctor Who comic book in the U.S. for a while during the Tom Baker era, but I don't know if it was all new or simply reprints of U.K. material.

		Amongst other things, I dove into the deep end of licensed comics with the collected edition of Panini Comics' most recent DOCTOR WHO ADVENTURES strips, released in time to capitalise on the new series (if not the new Doctor).

		Years ago, DC Comics were published in Spain by Ediciones Zinco and Marvel Comics were published by Planeta de Agostini.
		Sadly Zinco lost the rights of the DC books and dissapeared from the comic world, still some of us remember them very well, after a brief time where the DC series that arrived in Spain were the books published in Mexico by Grupo Editorial Vid.
