		Paracin was mentioned for the first time in the charters from 14th century.
		During the second half of 19th century Paracin becomes the industrial centre by establishing the Factory of wollens by Minhs brothers (later Teokarevics), the glass and the factory of cement.
		The whole area of the commune is 542 square kilometers and it extends from the slops of Kucaj mountains in the east, including the fertile valley of the Morava river to Juhor mountain in the west.

	Public Library of Jagodina - News
		The meeting was attended by library managers from Paracin, Despotovac and Jagodina, and the good host was Ruzica Sibinovic-Rajkovic, manager of the “Resavska” Library in Svilajnac.
		The topics of conversation were joining the Serbian Virtual Library trough the COBISS program platform, the Goethe Institute seminar, as well as work plans for 2004.
		During the meeting the managers from Paracin, Svilajnac and Despotovac were given the questioners from the Goethe Institute workshop and introduced to the results of the questioner given to employees of the Jagodina Library.

		E761 Arch is so named as it is right alongside the main road (E761) which leads from the town of Zajecar to the motorway at Paracin.
		It is very close to the village of Izvor, about 13 kms (8 miles) east of Paracin.
		Here the road goes though a number of road tunnels and the arch is alongside one of the tunnels on the south side of the road.

	World SWOS Tournament 2004
		SWOS school from Paracin also made a remarkable success reaching the 1/8 finals of WST for the first time in their history.
