Parade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A parade is an organized procession of people along a street, often in costume, and often accompanied by floats or sometimes large lighter-than-air balloons with complex shapes.
Parades are held for a wide range of reasons, but are usually celebrations of some kind.
The parade float got its name because the first floats were decorated barges that were towed along canals with ropes held by parade marchers on the shore.

Parade (magazine) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PARADE is a magazine, distributed as a Sunday supplement in hundreds of newspapers in the United States.
The magazine is printed on newsprint, although usually a higher quality of newsprint than the rest of the newspaper, but far from the glossiness of a newsstand magazine or a coupon insert.
The magazine has also become known for its annual list of the 'The World’s 10 Worst Dictators', which has been published each year since 2003 by David Wallechinsky.

AR.net >> Paul McCartney makes a fool of himself in Parade magazine   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-29)
Parade magazine recently ran a short piece on Paul McCartney in which the former Beatle said people wanting to remember his wife Linda McCartney should send contributions to Memorial Sloan-Kettering where she was treated for breast cancer before her death.
As an astute reader pointed out in the October 4 issue of Parade, however, that McCartney said he was opposed to the use of animals but breast cancer research relies on animal studies.
He told Parade that he is still "totally against experiments on animals," so contributions in Linda's name would only go for spending on human trials.
