The only bad things about the album is the last track who is a intervju not a song that`s to bad it should be a song of the last track instead of an intervju i Think.
This is a poor excuse for a debuet album mainly becasue brian was not allowed to show his real ability and his father and Capitol were always in the way.

 Album Reviews: Beach Boys
The Beach Boys may think they're having a "Summer in Paradise," but true fans know this album is a one-way trip to hell.
In general, the new albums that have been recorded have been slick, commerical pieces, faintly echoing the earliest hits of the Beach Boys, but with none of the heart and soul of their first efforts.
This was a highly anticipated album by Beach Boys fans, being a reunion of the remaining members (Dennis having drowned in 1983), and their estranged leader, Brian Wilson.

It was the album Paradise Theatre that I fell upon in a friends car one day and after listening to a couple of tracks and with a lot of persuasion I managed to borrow it.
As you may of guessed Paradise Theatre was about the closure of this theatre and this album Return To Paradise is quite the opposite with original tracks sung live plus lots of others and this is something I think John Panazzo would be very proud of.
The Album Paradise Theatre was released in January 1981 and it actually tells a story from beginning to end, which I keep meaning to try and put story to paper as a rock opera.

Filmtracks: Return to Paradise (Mark Mancina)
Return to Paradise : (Mark Mancina) An excellent score which is bound to go down as one of the most underrated and little heard scores of the nineties, Mark Mancina's Return To Paradise sounds totally unlike everything else he has produced so far.
All artwork and sound clips from Return to Paradise are Copyright © 1998, Varèse Sarabande.
Mancina's delicate woodwind themes and energetic underscore offer one of the great surprises of 1998, and the album is definitely worthy of four stars.

The songs aren't straight-out pop like the next couple albums, but they are definately more easily accessible, and the classical/prog influences on their first album are pushed more into the background as a result.
There's no official keyboardist on this album, the keys found on a couple tracks were presumably played by Tempest, also, this was drummer Tony Reno's only album with the band, he was replaced by Ian Haughland prior to the next album.

However, the second half of the album is nowhere near as good as the first and the over feeling I have is the album is good, but not classic.
To conclude,it is a fairly good album and I may even say buy it,but it certainly is not Europe and they should have come back with a great melodic rocking album or gone out on a high by Leaving 'Prisoners..' as their last release.
My favourite Europe album has always been "Out of This World" but that was 1988 and it was totally unrealistic to expect the guys to try and live in the past and dish up a real '80s' sounding CD this time round.
