Nepal's crown prince gets new image - The Times of India
In a front page report headed "A sporty weezk for Crown Prince", the daily, which has earlier reported the heir's public tantrums without taking his name, said Paras played 18 holes in the company of US ambassador to Nepal James Francis Moriarty and army chief Gen Pyar Jung Thapa.
Known to be fond of fast vehicles and sport, the crown prince's recent engagements however have been more statesmanlike, such as inaugurating a programme to mark the golden jubilee of the apex bank in the kingdom,Nepal Rastra Bank, and the annual general meeting of a business lobby, Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Paras, who is seen as being groomed to be the next king of Nepal, has made several public appearances since Feb 1 when his father King Gyanendra dismissed the government of prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and took over.
