	The Cure : Community
		This album is a perfect example of how a crowd should be involved at a Cure show.
		Throughout the 8 Cure shows that I have been to, an unfortunate consistency has been the lack of any energy from the crowd.
		Paris is the perfect live album, Show is very good too, but not quite as good as this one.

		As with the other albums he released this album is again heavy on rotation in my car...
		It is true that many of the Cure's greatest songs are missing from this album, especially those from disintegration, however, it can be also be argued that fans who don't already have both "Staring At the Sea" and "Galore are newcomers and would prefer something more comprehensive...
		Get the double album : While this is certainly a very good compilation, despite missing a couple of key songs, there is an even better version out there.

		BTW, There are lots of exciting things scheduled for next year: new Cure album, Robert's solo album (may be packaged as a bonus disc w/ the new Cure album), the trilogy concert DVD, and the b-sides box set.
		Robert's said every album since Disintegration would be the last, so I'm never believing him whenever he rambles on about the end of the Cure hehe.

		If you grew up with the cure this is the album to get and if you are a fan of the '80's, new wave, and brit pop this is a classic recording of a very influential band.
		These tracks are a little gritty and by no means the best work of the Cure but they do show that even in their first years the band had a different sound, unique song writing and certain promise as musicians.
		I find the earlier Cure albums to be their best work, but even if you don't this CD will still impress.

		I recentaly sat down with one of my cure freak friends.(yes we're both cure freaks)and couldn't help but notice porl and simon frenching on stage.
		I think Show is the best Cure live album, even if there are not a lot of great old songs in it...
		But I think the line-up who played in that period was the best Cure of ever and the sound on this album is fantastic.

		Recently I had lunch with a Berkeley graduate student who was looking for some career advice: she's in her last year, finishing her Ph.D., going on the academic job market but not carzy about teaching 4/4 somewhere she's never heard of before.
		I don't know if I was much help, in part because I was basically trying to encourage her to think about work as a bricolage of activities: the paying job, the research you're doing on the side, the occasional writing gig, the blogging (the mix varies over time, depending on your circumstances).
		This was a hideous, grievous error, made even more inexcusable by the fact that all three albums were in the "L" bin at J.C. Penney the afternoon that I purchased the Skynyrd classic....

		I lived in Berlin when I started to listen to the Police all the time, and it was the best time of my life, and I just think this album stands out as the best....
		I'm sadly uneducated about the world in which this album was made, and my father always complains that when they got a new singer and made Spinning Wheel they really sucked, but this is one of the most consistent and amazingly well-written albums ever.

		The Cure has to be among the more talented bands when it comes to catchy, pop melodies.
		This is one of those albums which have enough variety to be interesting all the way through and yet still keep a very clear style which can only be the Cure.
