 The Park Record - County Commission irked by reduced speed limit
Summit County commissioners were upset Wednesday when they were told that Utah Department of Transportation officials lowered the speed limit along a portion of S.R. 224 in Snyderville without telling them.
But Summit County officials are the ones who asked UDOT to study the change, County Engineer Derrick Radke said, adding that most motorists travel that stretch of road at 45 mph.
County Commissioner Sally Elliott, who saw a driver pulled over by an officer in the area last weekend, hopes deputies will go easy on motorists until they can adjust to the change.
