The focal point of the park is the main terrace, surrounded by a long bench in the form of a sea serpent.

What's remarkable is that Gaudí; had a chance to make a park that kids immediately love but that also is great to walk around.

These windows resembling flying kites (tethered by trails left by rain water no doubt) were part of what seemed to be a school within the park, as there were kids running about in a yard inside.

I've been reading about Park Guell and would love to hear any first-hand comments and advice on visiting it.
I thought Parc Guell was one of the most interesting displays of Gaudi architecture in Barcelona.
The park is not near any other attractions (if I remember correctly) but you will not be disappointed in making a special trip there.
