In 1970 the population of Parker County was 33,888.

Forecasted a few days in advance as being a possible widespread tornadic outbreak situation, even though a squall line was pretty much a given, it was not a day to be passed up for chasing.
There was so much damage across their county warning area I don't know if they will have the time or people available to survey all the damage sites.
All in all, not a bad chase day for early march, although not such a great day for many people across Texas that suffered some sort of damage to their structures.

On February 22, 2002, a class action was brought against the Chevron Pipe Line Company by residents of Parker County, Texas, alleging the oil company violated the Federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, the Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the Texas Water Code.
The class consists of residents of Parker County, Texas who have been affected by chemicals leaked from Chevron's pipeline booster/pump station on FM1189 east of Brock, Texas.
The Parker County residents allege that Chevron contaminated soil and groundwater sources with petroleum by-products and toxic carcinogens, including benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE).
