Warrington is the largest town and borough in the county of Cheshire, in the North-West of England.
The former Warrington county borough was situated in Lancashire, but it combined with the Cheshire townships of Stockton Heath and Lymm in 1974 and the new entity became part of the reorganised Cheshire County Council.
Warrington is twinned with Hilden in Germany, Lake County, Illinois in the USA, and Nachod in the Czech Republic.

By the time of the civil war in 1642 Warrington was still a small town with a population of around 2,000, but it was strategically important because of its bridge.
By 1901 the population of Warrington was nearly 65,000.

Just come across the photos fro Warrington park, wow, it looks better than i thought it would look, that park is going to get busy in the sumer months.
I just checked out the Warrington park just now, they've made some progress, but it's like they half build things then go onto building other parts- i think this is to stop people skating it before it's tottally built.
