South Park Republican - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
South Park Republican is a term coined to describe what was claimed by the authors as a "new wave" of young adults and teenagers who hold political beliefs that are, in general, aligned with those that seem to underpin gags and storylines in the popular television cartoon.
From the libertarian perspective South Park is likewise often critical of traditional establishments of authority, such as organized religion and the government, which are variously portrayed as corrupt, incompetent, or hypocritical.
South Park Republicans empathize with the characters' consideration of moral guidelines in their attempts to explain their surroundings and are extremely likely to support the "children's" decisions.

South Park departs from its likeness to The Simpsons in that it strictly follows the structural facets of the Broadway musical, as opposed to pulling legs and cracking jokes about Homer's musical ineptitude.
The parodies in South Park and The Simpsons do not generate melodic or instrumental imitations of their originals, but rather capture the essence of those songs by, perhaps, a slightly altered melody, a similar sound in orchestration, or a more obvious lyrical connection.
The Simpsons and South Park have made fun of Disney and Broadway for their antiquated values, The Simpsons pushes further to mock the very function of song in a musical, and yet South Park remains true to the very form that The Simpsons questions.

Blatant as their point is however, it is always secondary to the jokes, and South Park is very funny, albeit requiring a certain dark sense of humor and a tolerance for the skewering of all sacred cows.
South Park could be far more shocking than it is on TV and that is what Bigger, Longer and Uncut does.
South Park's songs manage to be far wittier than most Disney songs and at the same time, expose their pretentiousness.

 South Park
South Park satirizes many aspects of American culture and current events, challenges deepset convictions and taboos, and quite often tops everything off with a thick coat of aggressively scatological humor.
South Park got its start in 1991 when Trey Parker and Matt Stone, then film students at the University of Colorado, created an animated short called Jesus vs Frosty (also known as The Spirit of Christmas).
South Park's early episodes tended to be shock value-oriented, but the more recent episodes are less crude and oriented more toward poking fun at current events.

Everybody's cracking on the movie parodies, but I think nine years working on a show in Hollywood doesn't allow for alot of everyday experiences to draw from for inspiration.
There were plenty of parodies in South Park earlier, too, so it's not like it's anything new to the show.
I haven't seen a good Free Willy parody since that Simpsons episode where Homer is on a jury and he wants them to be sequestered so he can watch Free Willy on the hotel's cable.

SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT
The film, which has Parker and Stone reprising their writing, directing and character-voicing duties from the show, is a delightfully savage and astute comment on parents and hypocritical conservative groups (like the MPAA, which debated with the Colorado-based comics over some of their gags) who blame society's ills on entertainment.
Critics have complained about South Park's crude construction-paper cutout animation, but it's one of the charms of the series and movie because it parodies chintzy-looking religious cartoons like Art Clokey's old clay-animated series Davey and Goliath and that '70s show about that annoying, big-eyed white bouncing ball with legs.
South Park has lately experienced a backlash because of uneven scripts, declining ratings and Parker and Stone's own lousy track record on film (Orgazmo, the box-office poison of BASEketball).
