The Parramatta Two Blues secured a hard fought 43-24 victory over Randwick last Saturday in a match where the end score did not reflect the intensity of the game.
The Two Blues came back from the half time break behind 19-10 to force uncharacteristic errors from the Randwick side and capitalise on their mistakes.

 Gould ready for Origin farewell
In his first Origin series in charge more than a decade ago, Gould produced two footballs at a team meeting, throwing one to then-Blues hooker Benny Elias.
A Parramatta junior, Gould was the youngest captain in Penrith history, leading the club as a 20-year-old in 1978.
Gould, who doubles as the Sydney Roosters coaching director, is no dill - he studied law at the University of NSW before going on to find fame and fortune in rugby league.

Wallaby Travel News: No Origin hangover for Roosters: Wing
09/07/2004 09:55:56 PM Despite toasting the Blues' rugby league success, NSW utility Craig Wing says there is no chance the Sydney Roosters will suffer a State of Origin hangover against the Eels at Parramatta Stadium come Saturday night.
Wing said the Roosters still had not forgiven themselves for the last time they were on the wrong side of the scoreboard.
Queensland backrower Michael Crocker (ribs) is the only member of the Roosters' six-strong Origin contingent in doubt to run on against the lowly Eels, who have lost three straight and eight of their last 10.

Tahu, who was a controversial omission from the Blues side for Wednesday night's series decider at Telstra Stadium, met Manly and Parramatta officials last week and will look at real estate in each area in coming to a decision.
Dumped NSW Origin winger Timana Tahu has given the best indication yet that he intends to leave Newcastle at the end of the season by revealing that he and partner Kasey were planning to go house hunting in Sydney today.
But Tahu said he had also played under Eels coach Brian Smith when he had charge of Country Origin and was friends with hooker John Morris from his days at Newcastle.

 Puberty Blues
Beresford was drawn to directing the film because it was told from a girl's point-of-view, and provided a perspective of growing up in Cronulla, a part of Sydney far removed from Beresford's stomping ground of Parramatta.
Nevertheless, Beresford's ocker sensibility is evident in Puberty Blues because it examines a group of male ockers in training and the girls that attend to them.
The juvenile authenticity of Puberty Blues was attributed to the fact that Kathy Lette and Gabrielle Carey, who wrote the novel on which it was based, were teenagers with firsthand experience of the scene.

 Parramatta High School Badge
The embroidered badge which appears on the senior tie has a more faithful rendition of "two blues" theme, although the stitching does play havoc with the detail.
Neither of the two "updated" versions shown above were sufficiently faithful to the original in terms of proportion, balance or style.
The yellow colour was introduced as a consequence of copying the metal badge - yellow being the approximate colour of the base metal metal of the badge.
