 PETA: PETA's Class Act for Fashion Week
For years, the fur trade has conducted a program at Parsons School of Design, one of the world’s most prestigious fashion schools, in which students receive free fur to work with and a chance to take part in an industry-sponsored fashion show.
The group will give a video presentation to the entire senior class, showing not only how minks and foxes are trapped, drowned, or electrocuted for their fur, but also how cows and sheep live and die on intensive factory farms for the leather and wool trades.
PETA began developing the program with Parsons department chair Tim Gunn this spring, and the group hopes to repeat it in other design schools around the world next year.

I think the dean at parsons has a brother who is a dean at princeton or something like that.
I know that some schools might foster a student going out on the limb more, but you can always rebel against the conservative norms of a school as long as you have a good project to back it up.
I also think that almost every architecture school I have been to and student I have talked to has made me come to the conclusion that very few teach you practical knowledge that you use in the workplace.
