To the Northeast it continues toward Tlatelolco and La Villa, while to the West it extends into the exclusive neighborhood of Las Lomas and then onto Cuajimalpa and Santa Fe on the outskirts of the city.
One the most famous monuments of the Paseo is El Ángel de la Independencia – a tall pillar surmounted with a gilded statue of an angel, built to commemorate the centennial of Mexico's independence in 1910.
Near the central section of Reforma, across from the Alameda, is the Monument to the Revolution.

Towards the southern limits of the Paseo de la Reforma lies the Juarez colonia, the most central area of which is occupied by the Pink Zone (Zona Rosa).
Reforma extends even further being, as it is, one of the longest avenues in the city.
