Speaking of the Pashtun, because their definition is almost entirely patrilineal, even granting the "lost tribe" premise and then using a strict Halakhic accounting that says the only way you cease to be a Jew is excommunication, there would be no reason to think that any particular Pushtun traced back matrilineally to the lost tribes.
The Marranos of Spain, for example, like the (possibly) Pashtun, maintain some Jewish traditions after being forced to convert over 500 years ago, but they are not considered Jews.
This article should clearly mention that, people who might have jewish descent but are affiliated with religions other then judism, are not discussed in this article or this article may get POV banner.

Pashtuns have been in Afghanistan probably around or not considerably long after 11,000BC until now (just like Sumeria and Egypt, Greece and Italy were made up of bulk Mediteranean people first).
But ofcourse you seem to think Pashtuns are Jews who were suplanted to Aryana by the Persians after the Captivity, who maybe changed their language to Persian slowly from Semitic or quickly around 800BC (which the the time of exiles).
I mentioned this in my first thread about Pashtuns, Tajiks and Uzbeks all claiming they were jews (just like maybe French American, Italian Americans and German Americans are claiming they are jews).

My own people are Hindko speaking but of Pashtun descent and all our Pashtun descended tribes call themselves Pathan to differentiate from other Hindko speaking tribes but I don’t agree with that, you can’t affiliate yourself to an ethnicity and not know the language well.
I agree with everything else you said except the bit about Afghan’s in NWFP, the Pathan’s in NWFP are pretty much still true to their culture and language, it's the Pashtun descended people in parts of Punjab (Attock etc.) and Kashmir who over the course of time have gradually lost their culture and language.
