The Pakistani part of Pashtunistan comprises an area that runs from Chitral in the north (where Pashtuns are a minority, with Khowar people being the majority) to Sibi in the southwest and intentionally includes the ethnically mixed region of Balochistan.
The British arrived in the middle of the 19th century and the Pashtunistan region became an area of importance for both the British and the Russians.
Similarly, an independent Pashtunistan is opposed by Pakistani Pashtuns as it would merge the far better-off NWFP, FATA and Pashtun areas of Balochistan with the economically devasted Afghanistan.

Pashtunistan is the Pashtun-dominated area of Afghanistan, half of which is now occupied by Pakistan, and is a successor of British India that comprises the Chitral[?] (the north of Pakistan) to Sibi[?] (the southwest of Pakistan).

I added the demographic information about Pashtuns in Pashtunistan page due to one user requesting citation.
However, the Pashtunistan map is wrong, because it also contains Baluchistan, and area that was not affected by the Durand-Line and has never been part of a "devided Pashtun nation".
I am removing the Pashtunistan picture shown on the top right of the article and I am planning on clarifying the theories of what is pakhtunistan/pakhtunkhwa as there are several variations of the theory.

Sure that is a possibility but not a fact, I don't know if the aspirations of the Pashtun include just Pashtunistan or all of Pakistan.
I would say that because of the ideals of the Ummah, and a greater Islamic community, they would be in a position to cause havoc in the cities through terrorism, and the tribaly ruled areas in the north is almost impenetrable to the Pakistani army...it would be interesting to see how much they want.
