Vegetation is red, and the desert appears in shades of light brown and brownish yellow.
There is vegetation in the flood plain of this river in the 2001 image (hints of red northeast of the new reservoirs), and there is none in the post flood image - this change could be due to the flooding or to normal seasonal varaiations.

The infrastructure of the area, in general, has been seriously affected as follows: The water supply system in Pasni has been completely turned down and quality of water is not satisfactory for drinking.
One of the positive sides of this catastrophe is that the fishing community of the area residing along the coast line of Arabian Sea was happy because the rain/flood water draining into the sea was carrying so much fertility with it to fetch plenty of fish in the near future.
