I used the Paris Métro Handbook which is filled with photographs of Métro stations to help decide what stations were must-sees.
An unusual configuration for Paris by itself, this station is more unusual in that the north side track is merely a non-revenue connection from line 9 to line 10, and there is a chain-link fence along the platform edge.
The walls were covered with images and text depicting the history of the RATP, Paris' transit agency, although the text was essentially unreadable being too small and much of it too high on the walls.

We walked from the Passy Metro stop, passed through a nice neighborhood with cafes and were in the hotel in less than 5 minutes.
A bit away from the tourist areas (just across the river from the Eiffel Tower) but 2 min walk from the nearest Metro (Passy) and a pleasant scenic walk across the river to the Eiffel Tower and the RER line to Notre Dame.
Two complaints: 1) the aircon didn't work during our two days there but we were assured that it was a temporary problem being fixed, and 2) at 10 E per head breakfast while decent is really not worth it.
