| | This Week's Sermon - Shoreline Community Church (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-18) |
 | | Hope is one of those elastic words that stretches to wrap around whatever nuance of meaning you intend, such as, “I hope you’re feeling better,” or “I hope to see the pyramids before I die.” One is a sentiment and the other a wish. |
 | | The first church was persecuted, scattered and the ancient tenets of the Jewish faith, sacred and inviolate, were being stretched to bursting. |
 | | Aside from the empty tomb, over 500 eyewitnesses, and frightened cowards transformed into bold, fearless disciples, there's the fact that Jesus is still doing miracles, God is still glorifying Jesus, and everything that happened was foretold years and centuries ahead of time. |
