Pat entered Buena Vista Univesity (then Buena Vista College) in the fall of 1955 and graduated in 1959 with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry.
Pat said the most satisfying accomplishment he had in his career was starting the Total Quality Management process for FELCO which was adopted by the entire company.
Pat recently retired and now pursues activities such as traveling with Darlene, keeping up with the kids and grandkids, hunting, fishing, getting away to their lake getaway in Minnesota, woodworking and most recently, acting as coordinator for their church's Prison Ministry.
