		Pat Dubar had sung with the straight-edge hardcore band Uniform Choice during the 80's.
		The band signed to the Sony/Epic-label and released their self-titled debut-album in 1991.
		Pat and Spike are, as far as I know, currently in a band called Corporate Avenger.

		Members Pat Dubar and Pat Longrie went on to form the highly influentual band Uniform Choice shortly after Unity's demise, UC quickly became the local area's premiere hardcore band and were always marred with controversy, good and bad.

		The band was "reborn" in the 90's with Larry as manager and sound engineer, Tony on vocals, John on lead guitar, Jim DuBar on bass, and Bob Curtin on drums.
		Some of those included: Steve Phillips - bass, Pat Brown - guitar, Buzz Ozenberger - lead guitar, John Osborne - drums, Andy Ray - bass, Chris Courtin - bass, and Rick Brand - drums.
		Since May of 1999, the band's core has remained pretty much the same, with Larry Schildtknecht as our Manager and Sound engineer, Rick Brand on drums, Buzz Ozenberger on lead guitar,Steve Phillips on bass, and Mike Martin on guitar and keyboards.

		Two vocalists battle it out for Throat-Coat supremacy, with one a deep grindcore growler and the other sounding like Pat Dubar of all things.
		This really reminds me of insuld sometimes, but where that band reveled in bitter humor.

		These guys play speedy youth crew with a heavy helping of Orange county influences ala No For An Answer, and Uniform Choice.
		The vocals are very strong, with an apparent Pat Dubar influence, the playing and recording are also very good completing the package.
		Plus there is a song featuring Casey from committed on vocals so how can you go wrong.

		The great hardcore bands, the pantheon, all had vocalists with a distinct sound.
		Some less so, but equally deserving of attention: Unity/Uniform Choice's Pat Dubar; Judge's Mike Judge; Burn/Orange 9MM's Chaka.
		I received a copy in the mail this week of a hardcore record I've sought to reclaim for a while, namely Orange 9MM's debut eponymous EP.

		Gone were the almost baroque arrangements of Dropped to be replaced by a really stripped down, almost doomy sludge.
		I haven't heard it for a few years but I recall it as being very austere with a really bass heavy production with Dubar sounding like a man on the edge of an abyss.

		The lightly crowded house produced only a handful of slam dancers to go along with the fast and coarse guitar music, and when the two or three people who dared to go onstage jumped back into the audience, after being kicked by the band, they landed on the floor instead of on the crowd.
		Part of the problem lay in Pat Dubar, the group's lead singer, who with wide eyes, rigid body and long hair, tried to approximate the conditions of an out-of-body-experience but looked like a television cartoon of Charles Manson instead.
		Singing lines like "The blood runs red" and "Let me touch you," he had the audience milling around and looking bored.
