With an FIR filed against the offenders, the high profile former cricketer of a royal lineage now finds himself dealing with a sticky wicket and whether the ball rolls into court or bounces off it remains to be seen.

Pataudi, who had surrendered before the court on Saturday after evading arrest for a fortnight, was given bail by Chief Judicial Magistrate Sudhir Jiwan on the condition of furnishing a bond for Rs 50,000 and a surety in the like amount.
Pataudi had on Sunday been taken to Kildodh village, around 12 km from Jhajhar, where he and seven of his associates had allegedly killed an endangered fl buck and two hares.
Earlier, as the police along with Pataudi were on their way to Delhi to recover the Registration Certificate of the Maruti Gypsy allegedly used in the hunt, a man met them at some distance from Jhajjhar and handed over the vehicle papers.

Mansoor was born on January 5, 1941, at Bhopal in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh to Iftikhar Ali Khan, eighth nawab of Pataudi and his wife Sajida Sultan, second daughter of the last ruling nawab of Bhopal.
Pataudi Jr., as Mansoor came to be known in the cricket world, was a right-hand batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler.
It should also be noted that Pataudi's son, Saif Ali Khan, was caught poaching the fl buck with fellow actor Salman Khan a few years ago, and convicted in District and Sessions Court in Jodhpur, in a case where Salman Khan was the prime accused.
