 Pathros
Isaiah 11:11 Jeremiah 44:1,15 Ezekiel 29:14 30:14, one of the three ancient divisions of Egypt, namely, Upper or Southern Egypt, which Ezekiel speaks of as distinct from Egypt, and the original abode of the Egyptians; as indeed Ethiopia and Upper Egypt really were.
Its early inhabitants called Pathrusim, were descendants of Mizraim, Genesis 10:14.
In the list of the Mizraites the Pathrusim occur after the Naphtuhim and before the Caluhim; the latter being followed by the notice of the Philistines and by the Caphtorim.

Mizraim - Biocrawler   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
Mizraim was the brother of Cush who, together along with Phut and Canaan, made up the Hamite branch of Noah's descendants.
Mizraim's sons were Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.
Some, who see similarities between the Egyptian god Asar's name and story and those of the eastern Asshur, say that this cannot be so, and instead suggest a possible Mesopotamian origin for Mizraim, whose name they derive from Ma-Asar ("From Assur").

PART TWO: THE LINEAGE OF HAM
According to this account, some six or seven nations descended from Mizraim were destroyed, clearly a major conflict that would have had profound and far-reaching repercussions on the world of those times.
Josephus lists those nations that were destroyed as the Ludim (see 27), the Anamim (see 28), the Lehabim (see 29), the Naphtuhim (see 30), the Pathrusim (see 31), the Casluhim (see 32) and the Caphtorim (see 34) (see Map 3).
Seemingly known in later records as the Lubim, this people settled on the north coast of Africa and gave their name to the nation of Libya.

And Mitzrayim begot Ludim, Aramim, Lehavim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, and Casluhim, whence the Philistines came forth, and Caphtorim".
Rashi has the following comment: "And Pathrusim and Casluhim out of whom came Philistim - They (the Philistines) were descended from both of them, for the Pathrusim and the Casluhim used to live together in promiscuous intercourse, and the Philistines were their offspring".
They were not to be found in Upper Egypt like the Pathrusim, and Casluhim and the Caphtorim - they had come forth - they had departed to establish a mini-Egyptian state in the Land of Israel.

The latter paragraph is the subject of a separate essay as all false religion in the world today can be traced back to Nimrod, the founder of Babylon (in what is today Iraq).

Love The Lord Genesis Lesson 19
GENESIS LESSON 19 We will pick up in this lesson today with Genesis 10:13 "And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim," Genesis 10:14 "And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim." We must remember, here, that these were the descendents of Ham.
The only thing known abut the Pathrusim name was that the city Pathros, Egypt, probably originated from these people.
Nothing is known about Calsuhim and Philistim, unless, Philistim became Philistia.
