  Calling Dr. Death
New York-born Ursula Eileen Patricia Augustus Fraser Morison was once described by the Hollywood press as a "blond brunette," that is, a brunette with the vivacity of a blonde.
Morison understudied for Helen Hayes in Victoria Regina and appeared in The Two Bouquets before being offered a screen test and a contract with Paramount in 1938, at the age of 24.
Morison appeared in over 1000 performances of the show, on Broadway and later in the British production, and also reunited with Drake to do it on television on the Hallmark Hall of Fame anthology series.

 Tarzan and the Huntress
A further hint to this is to be found in the fact that in 1947, Miss O’Driscoll retired from the screen to marry Chicago businessman, Arthur Appleton.
Regardless, Patricia Morison was ultimately engaged to play the female title role.
Born in 1914, the attractive brunette had been under contract to Paramount in the late 30s to be groomed along with other hopefuls like Bill Henry, Robert Preston, and Joe Allen, Jr., but even though she proved her worth on more than one occasion, she found herself in minor second lead roles.

The beautiful Patricia Morison will be feted at a big party in Los Angeles hosted by her longtime friend, John Bowab, with champagne flowing.

Early on, Morison was signed to co-star with Alan Ladd in a film noir tale "The Glass Key," then suddenly was bounced from it to make way for Paramount's new girl-of-the-moment, Veronica Lake.

Banking on the convention of two lovers "who can't live with each other and can't live without each other," Porter brilliantly captured the self-delusion and overwrought masochism of romantic egotism.
Porter's renderings of the outsized, melodramatic personalities of Fred and Lili were the most truthful things he ever wrote (they were also perfectly embodied by Alfred Drake and Patricia Morison).
Thrown together in the out-of-town tryout, Fred and Lili discover the love that binds their considerable egos together, even though Lili is engaged to marry a powerful senator and Fred is involved in a dalliance with a sexy young thing in the show.
