 Refuting James White
Madrid did a fine job, and, if anyone should be a winner of this debate, it's certainly Pat Madrid, because he refuted White's arguments for the formal sufficiency of Scripture.
Now, after that whole debate, Patrick Madrid wrote a follow-up article in the Catholic magazine "This Rock." The article is a summary of the debate and gives some background information to what had happened before the debate and what was happening afterwards.
Madrid's questions..." James, if you truly believe that, then it is indeed a waste of time to engage in a debate with you.

Rebuttal to Patrick Madrid on Sunday
Patrick Madrid is a Roman Catholic apologist, and his remarks in defense of Sunday keeping are in the boxed text, which is followed by my comments in reply.
Patrick Madrid has no scriptural proof for his assertion.
Neither Acts 20:7 or 1 Cor 16:2 use the phrase "Lord's Day", and none of the verses he cites demonstrate the keeping of the first day of the week in place of the seventh day Sabbath to celebrate the resurrection, since there is no such testimony in all of the New Testament.

Patrick Madrid, the Sabbath, and the Calendar: "Surprised By Truth"
And the earliest Christians transferred their observance of that commandment from Saturday to Sunday, first of all because their was a distinct break between the Old Testament requirements, the rituals and Mosaic covenant demands dealing with the Sabbath worship and animal sacrifices, and that sort of thing.
The truth is that what Patrick asserts here is simply not taught by the inspired written testimony of the apostolic church, the New Testament.
[Patrick apparently actually meant to assert that the true Sabbath was lost in the Gregorian calendar reform of the Catholic Church, but that only involved adjusting the existing solar Julian calendar.

VICARIUS FILII DEI and 666 - A Response to "Pope Fiction" by Patrick Madrid (via CobWeb/3.1 ...   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-13)
Madrid takes great glee in swinging the wrecking ball at those who would entertain the thought that the pope fits the description of the beast in Revelation 13.
Madrid triumphantly concludes that the title Vicarius Filii Dei is not now, nor has it ever been, a title of the bishops of Rome, and insinuates that Protestants are merely dumb bunnies pulling this 'rabbit' out of a hat.
Patrick now knowingly reveals, for the education of his audience, the fact that Vicarius Filii Dei, appearing in Catholic Canon Law, actually originated in the Donation of Constantine, a forgery, to the apparent utter disappointment and frustration of the sadly ignorant Seventh-day Adventists.
