Patsy Fagan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Patsy Fagan (born January 15, 1951) is a retired Irish snooker player.
A talented snooker player who won the first UK championship in 1977 (when it was a non-ranking event), Fagan seemed destined for a long and successful professional career in the game, but he became affected by a reluctance, possibly psychological, to play shots with the rest when situations demanded it in contests with his opponents.
Although he remained a professional for many years, this problem marred any progress Fagan could have made in his profession, and he gave up the game far earlier than his ability deserved.

It was a running joke between us that I always greeted her with the opening line of the refrain of an Irish song called, “Hello Patsy Fagan”.
Unbelievable, Patsy never lost her breath through out all of this, despite the fact she was talking about a mile a minute.
Patsy was a little uncomfortable talking about Tara’s extra girth, but, being a girl who never ignored the facts, she wasn’t about to sidestep the issue.

Horse Racing on the Costa del Sol
The meetings consist of 5 races, the first race scheduled for 11:15h and the final race getting under way at 13:30h, although these times tend to get a little stretched.
The racecourse is well served with restaurants and bars ranging from Patsy Fagan's Irish Bar; The Garden Terrace, where you can get barbecue food; Papa Luigi Pasta and Pizza; Bar No. 1; and the Restaurante Hipodromo for more formal dining.
There is also a choice of live music during and after the racing.

He follows this with a lovely version of "I'll Fly Away," a song that was sort of lost, too, until the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou brought it back.
Other well-known tracks from earlier times that are reprised here include "Come Down the Mountain Katie Daly," "Patsy Fagan" and "The Soldier's Farewell." These are excellent songs that have been forgotten because of overexposure a half-century ago.
Another old song (but new to me) was "Eileen McMahon." It is a beautiful track and is worth the price of the album just to hear it.
