I've always said pit bulldogs are NOT terriers, and man, after I got my Patterdale I and my Jack Russell, I know now how true that statement is! Unlike show bred dogs, working terriers are occassionaly crossed to other working breeds depending on the needs of the hunter.
Patterdales are one of the last unspoiled and unregistered working breeds.
Terriers are much more aloof and not nearly as willing to please as a bulldog.

Corby is home!!!! A lovely chap rang Lurcher Search to say he'd seen a Patterdale living rough in Peckham Rye Park and was so convinced it was Corby that he'd take the owners to see for themselves.
They did and it was.....but it took another few days and a wonderful dog warden with a humane trap to catch the little blighter! But he's home now safe and well and the owners would like to thanks everyone who helped find him.
