Peanuts, not to be confused with Peanut or PNuts, is an elite quasi military fighting force originating in the tumultuous period of piracy and lawlessness of the 1970's.
Peanuts is a vast international organization involving tens of thousands of soldiers, sailors, operatives and snooping maids, but there are a few key members that have been with the organization since the early days and make up its core.
In the 'public' Peanuts it is shown as constantly eating Charlie Brown's kites, this is actually a metaphor for an evil tree living high in the Atlas Mountains created by a misguided scientist in the early sixties.

Patty: She vanished from "regular sight" on April 11, 1976, but has popped up a few times since...or at least we think she has, since the sightings come without attribution.
Peppermint Patty is the only character who seems to be growing up in a single-parent household; although she often speaks fondly of her father -- who calls her his "rare gem" -- she has only mentioned her mother in terms of "not having one" (during a conversation with Marcie).

Patty, suffering some sort of narcolepsy, sleeps through class—something for which she can’t entirely be blamed, considering the teacher’s meaningless squawks—and uses Marcie for answers.
Marcie refers to Peppermint Patty as "Sir." For a long time, Patty said, "Don’t call me ‘Sir.’" Eventually, however, she stops and appears to grow accustomed to it, maybe even fond of her dominant role.
Nonetheless, Marcie and Peppermint Patty embody mutually satisfied attraction while the other peanuts are plagued by unrequited attempts at romance every time they poke those badly proportioned skulls out of their shells.
