PATTY SHEEHAN: I have always thought of Beth Daniel as one of the best match play players that I have known in my life, and I have been certainly watching what's been going on, and she, right now, is in the 16th spot.
PATTY SHEEHAN: Well, I have the utmost respect for Beth and her abilities, and as a player, in my mind, she was the best player that I played against on tour, above and over anybody else.
PATTY SHEEHAN: Well, you know, like I said, it's hard to discount a player like a Beth Daniel or Betsy King, for that matter, and if Betsy starts playing better, then certainly we will be looking at her.

In the previous matches at Muirfield Village in Ohio, the Europeans were upset by Dottie Pepper's emotional display and put her picture on a punching bag the night before the final round of singles.
Sheehan did not play in the last two matches, but looked on knowing her name would be called before long to be captain.

Sheehan, who is an 18-year veteran of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and inductee to the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1993, won the Nabisco Dinah Shore title in 1996, has twice won the U.S. Women's Open, and has more than 35 total career titles to date.

Thank you, Commissioner Sheehan for responding to a constituents need and interpreting the code in a reasonable way to serve the Property Owner (Taxpayer) rather than the bureaucracy.
