Paul Bostaph (born March 6, 1964 in San Francisco, California) is a heavy metal drummer, who has played for the bands Forbidden (originally known as Forbidden Evil), Slayer, Testament, and Systematic.
Bostaph left the band in 1996 to concentrate on his solo project, "The Truth About Seafood" and was replaced by Jon Dette, however, he returned in 1997.

Bostaph had to continually practice to improve the strength of his hands and feet; "I respected and loved Dave's drumming but as a fan, if they got a new drummer and I bought a ticket to a show, I would expect to hear the stuff that Dave does, that's what I would want.
Bostaph recorded three albums with Slayer, his least favorite is 1994's Divine Intervention.

Due to the expense and processing/turn-around time required for such a visa under these circumstances, it is with regret simply impossible for me to be where I need to be right now (in California) with the TESTAMENT guys putting the finishing touches to the album/songs/drums and preparing to record.
So it makes perfect sense all round to utilize the incredible services of drumming powerhouse Paul Bostaph who is already in the Bay Area, done time with TESTAMENT and is a longtime friend of the band.
Paul is a phenomenal drummer and will absolutely deliver the goods ten-fold when it comes to the new record.

Paul should just walk up to any band he wishes, kick the drummer square in the nuts, and move in his kit.
Paul's definitely an awsome drummer, but it's just unfortunate that Slayer started writing pretty lame music so he never got to be on any classic records.

PAUL BOSTAPH is just doin his thing after his 1st badn Forbidden, that ruled back in the day.
Paul Bostaph was the drummer for Testament during the fall of 1992 when Testament did the second US leg of The Ritual tour, and appeared on the 1993 EP "Return To The Apocolyptic City", recorded during said tour.
Bostaph was helping Testament for some live shows AFTER he had already joined Slayer in 1992, so he was never a member of Testament, merely a fill-in drummer for a few gigs.
