Paul Coffey (born June 1, 1961, in Weston, Ontario) is a former professional ice hockey defenceman in the NHL.
Paul Coffey was drafted sixth overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
Paul Coffey retired in 2000 with a very impressive 396 goals, 1135 assists, and 1531 points, ranking second all-time among defensemen.

Coffey was acquired by the Penguins from Edmonton on November 24, 1987 with Dave Hunter and Wayne Van Dorp in exchange for Craig Simpson, Chris Joseph, Moe Mantha and Dave Hannan.
