Trinity Foundation: Explaining God, man, Bible, salvation, philosophy, theology.
Clark was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and the Sorbonne.
Clark’s epistemology is consistent with his soteriology: Just as men do not attain salvation themselves, on their own power, but are saved by divine grace, so men do not gain knowledge on their own power, but receive knowledge as a gift from God.
Clark did not write a great deal about politics either, but it is clear from what he did write that he grounded his political theory on revelation, not on natural law, nor on the consent of the governed, nor on the exercise of mere force.

IBRI Research Report #22 - GORDON CLARK'S EXTRAORDINARY VIEW OF MEN AND THINGS   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-23)
Clark differs with other presuppositionalists with regard to the nature of what is presupposed and with regard to the prospect of additional knowledge content based on what has been presupposed.
Gordon Clark and Cornelius Van Til offer a very strong contrast in their respective views of “men and things.” Both men are presuppositionalists in the important sense that they begin their understanding of the world through the “eyes” of God’s revelation; they begin with what they cannot prove—namely, the Bible.
Although Gordon Clark is primarily concerned with theory of knowledge, he has also addressed in his writings the nature of “men and things.” Our concluding concern with Clark’s philosophical contribution to apologetics is primarily his view of the nature of persons, but also the more general implications of his epistemology for metaphysics.

Sophisticated Giant The Dexter Gordon Discography
Gordon had already worked in the bands of Lionel Hampton, Louis Armstrong, and Billy Eckstine, and he was among the very first players to adapt the innovations of Charlie Parker to the tenor saxophone, creating his own voice out of an amalgam of Parker and Lester Young.
Gordon's sound was already his own, a harder-edged tenor sound with very little vibrato, and there's evidence as well of the striking harmonic imagination that would later influence John Coltrane.
Gordon is in particularly good form on these four standards and two fairly basic originals and his style was little different than the way he would sound in the 1960s.

On the Reformed right (the so-called hyper-Calvinists), there is a strain of rationalism which one finds expressed by thinkers such as Herman Hoeksema, Gordon Clark and John Gerstner, which rejects the doctrine of the Free Offer of the Gospel as implicitly Arminian.
On the left, Progressive, post-conservative neo-evangelical, self-described Open-theists such as Clark Pinnock and Gregory Boyd have not only rejected classic Arminianism, whether that of Arminius himself or that of the Wesleyan varieties, but also the catholic doctrines of foreknowledge and omnipotence.
