Gross is playing a losing game if he wants to say that my work on intelligent design is not science.
Through all such efforts, Gross, however much he would like to deny it, is tacitly conceding that there are multiple millions of people who find it plausible or even self-evident that the world was designed by intelligence.

Gross had a 46-year career at Duke University in Durham, N.C. He served 11 years as vice president for academic affairs, 27 years as chairman of the chemistry department, and 5 years as dean of the Graduate School.
