Hawkins counterclaimed against HCC, reiterating its contention that HCC is vicariously liable for a widespread pattern of fraudulent activity engaged in by Hesston, because HCC was a parent, affiliate, or subsidiary of Hesston.
Hawkins' deposition testimony was that an agent of Hesston first suggested and then participated in the false statements,, and that the fraudulent practices he participated in were widespread, involving several Hesston representatives, the representatives of other lines of equipment, and even other dealers.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Department arrested Richie Paul Hawkins (DOB 12/22/78) on January 2, 2005, for theft of property (motor vehicle) and driving on a suspended license.
Hawkins was one of the persons named at the December Anderson County Commission meeting by citizens of the Briceville community as they voiced their concerns over thefts in that area by repeat offenders.
Hawkins was out of jail on bond after serving only two days from a December 8 arrest for violation of probation.

One story attributes the name Daisy Hawkins to a shop in Bristol, where Paul had gone to see Jane Asher, who was with the Bristol Old Vic theatrical company, but I don't know if this has been documented.
Paul also said (in an uncredited interview, quoted by Steve Turner in "A Hard Day's Write") that "Eleanor" came from Eleanor Bron, the actress who played Ahme in "Help!".
Paul is just the opposite; he worked usually from the melody first, then added lyrics, considering the opposite approach akin to writing "backwards".
