Heyman agrees to a point, but also a dynamic of confrontation between Steve and Vince McMahon was violated when Austin decided not to work things out or even a “screw you, I’m leaving.” Vince loved the confrontational aspect in their relationship and felt that Steve didn’t give Vince a chance to talk.
Heyman thinks the situation was that it was hard for the company to say that the character needed to be freshened up, and Austin had a problem with this.
Heyman replies that Van Dam’s strengths in WWE are not as apparent as they were to him in ECW, in that Heyman could go out of his way to accentuate his strengths and hide his weaknesses, and almost lead him by the hand, as this is what Heyman believes a good booker does with talent.

Heyman is known as a genius not just for having the innovation of bringing unique and refreshing elements to wrestling, but also for his ability to write captivating, edgy, and realistic wrestling storylines that made sense with few plot holes.
Heyman may have been a brilliant storyteller, but as told by many of the ECW alumni during the "The Rise and Fall of ECW", he was not very talented as a businessman.

Paul is a legit wrestling God and I think he does have a lot to offer to other promotions (most notibly missed by WWE...) but, again, I think ROH is ok as it is.
Paul haymen is considered a genius because he took a east coast indy company and made it into a national wrestling promotion using guys the WWE and WCW thought couldn't draw.
Heyman let people realize you didn't have to watch a 300 pound cluts to be entertained and that people under 230lbs could wrestle and entertain you.

Id expect wwe to sit on heymans contract for the duration, there was reports before the ecw thing that paul had some sort of extreme mma type idea floating in his head so ya never know....
Obviously the Paul Heyman situation is something that is going to require a major feature, but there is a lot that is out on the story that isn't correct.
Paul heyman voiced his concerns even before the PPV aired and he gets blamed with the "he is caught in the past theory".Gimme a break already............
