AN IMPOLITE INTERVIEW WITH PAUL KRASSNER
Paul Krassner, it's safe to say, has been around the block.
Uhm, cuz, Paul, this is beyond overkill yet it's still the numero uno story being rammed down our throats...
After 45 seconds I surrendered to an impulse and said in a deep, gravely voice, "I object!" Later, on stage, I confessed that it was me, but that I was being channeled by Kunstler.

Paul Krassner - Biography - AOL Music
While Paul Krassner doesn't have the immediate name recognition of some of his cohorts (Lenny Bruce, Timothy Leary, and Abbie Hoffman), his irreverent, literate satire made him an unsung countercultural hero during the '60s and beyond.
A crucial figure in the development of the American alternative press, Krassner was denounced by the FBI as a "raving, unconfined nut" for his independent journal the Realist, an unpredictable blend of genuine reporting, outlandish satire, witty sociopolitical commentary, and provocative subject matter.
Krassner also contributed articles to a variety of publications, winning awards from groups as diverse as Playboy magazine and the Feminist Party Media Workshop, and even served for a short time as an editor at Larry Flynt's notorious Hustler during the late '70s.

 Paul Krassner Summary
Paul Krassner was the Alexander Pope, the Dorothy Parker, and the F. Scott Fitzgerald of the 1960s.
Paul Krassner (born April 9, 1932) was editor and frequent contributor to the Freethought magazine The Realist, which, first published in 1958, is a very early example of the countercultural press in the United States.
Krassner was a child violin prodigy (and was the youngest person ever to play Carnegie Hall, in 1939 at age six), but his career took a different turn in the 1950s when he became an important figure in many aspects of politically-edged humor and satire in the US.

Paradigm Shift - Paul Krassner Interview
Paul Krassner: When I started in 1958 the goal was to put myself out of business by helping to liberate communication by example, and though it would've happened without me, it pretty much has happened--for better and/or worse--so in effect The Realist has served its purpose.
Paul Krassner: When people laugh, their defenses are down--as opposed to being lectured at--so it's possible for them to hear a truth in the guise of humor without the usual resistance.
Paul Krassner: The novel is about a contemporary, controversial comedian who goes to prison for a marijuana bust, makes a deal there to kill a snitch to avoid a gang rape, gets released, becomes successful, then gets charged with the murder, and defends himself in court.

Sex, Drugs & the Twinkie Murders --- Paul Krassner
Paul Krassner has been around so long that we perhaps should think of him as the most wrinkled and geezered acid-head around.
Krassner's highest moment from those days I do believe was his disgusting fantasy having to do and LBJ and JFK's body being flown back to the funeral, but what fascinated me more at the time was his problem with Walt Disney.
Krassner revived the Realist not long ago, and then let it run down --- the last issue came out last year --- and it's just as well because most of his writers were just pale imitations of the master.
