It is, sort of, Telefilm does have the elements for a good action show with state-of-the-art gadgetry, thrown in for good measure, but MacGyver's conquering sense of seemingly insurmountable situations before every commercial gets old -- quick.
The entire cast, including MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson), hiss boss Gantner (Michael Lerner), and Paul Stewart and Darlanne Fluegel as the scientists, turn in incredible performances.
In all, "MacGyver" is a fairly well crafted adventure show, beautifully shot and edited, but that's about as far as it goes.
