Stoddart immediately sought an injunction in the Victorian Supreme Court today after officials ruled his Minardi cars could not run in the race.
Stoddart said today he had decided to put the matter in the hands of his lawyers after the ruling.

Paul Stoddart Born May 26th, 1955, is an Australian millionaire and owner of the Minardi Formula One racing team.
Born in Coburg, Melbourne, Australia, Stoddart's first business was a car dealership; he was a racing patron from the start and entered a number of his own GT cars in various local competitions.
Stoddart agreed, intending to sell them at a profit to an airline or charter service, but as he got no immediate offers he decided to begin a charter service himself for the express purpose of shuttling gamblers to and from Tasmania, the only Australian state which allowed gambling at the time.

I have to agree with Stoddart on this one.
The idea is not to force Stoddart to either pay $10m for an engine supplier he doesn't want to work with or pay $20m and more for others he is interested in, but rather to find a price affordable by Minardi, Jordan and Sauber that the seven F1 engine manufacturers would commit to.
Stoddart (unlike Jordan) won't let the big boys bend him over, he stands up for what he believes is right.
