De Lamerie was associated with William Hogarth, who had been apprenticed to a silversmith and engraved some outstanding pieces for De Lamerie, including a salver for Sir Robert Walpole in 1727.
De Lamerie is credited with some of the finest and most elaborate silver work of the eighteenth century.
De Sequeyra, Dr. John (1712-1795), Williamsburg physician, was born in London of distinguished Portuguese-Jewish parentage.
