Pauline Quirke was born on 8 July 1959 in London.
In "Jobs For The Girls" (199?) Pauline and Linda were set 'missions' to learn the ropes of a new career with a specific aim to achieve by the end.
It wasn't until 1996 that Pauline was noticed as a serious drama actress as well as a successful comedy star, when she was given the lead role in the adaptation of the Minette Walters crime novel "The Sculptress", playing the convicted murderess Olive Martin.
