		The "Vendario of Words from Paxoi", includes a rather large recording of local words, as well as elements of the idiomatic grammar.
		It's similar to that of Corfu, but the difference lies in the fact that in Paxoi it is the end of the word that's stressed, while in Corfu it is the middle.

		Twenty-five German tourists on a sailing cruise near the Ionian island of Paxoi were evacuated safely on Saturday afternoon when the 30-meter Angelika hit a reef and began taking on water.
		Coast guard vessels and other craft in the area, two nautical miles from the port of Paxoi, rushed to the scene after the captain issued an SOS.
		Paxoi port authorities were investigating the cause of the accident, which occurred in well-charted waters in fine weather.

		Into the Ionion sea once again and onto the little Island of Paxoi anchoring in the south at Mongonisi bay big enough for about 6 yachts at anchor and surrounded by villas with masses of bougainvillea flower that made the place very colourful.
		A chap from Darwin came across in an inflatable and had a chat he was waiting for flotilla charter yachts to come and tie up at the adjacent restaurant jetty for the night.
		North from Paxoi we spent a night at Mourtous on the mainland (tied to a microcarpa tree for a change of vegetation) then onto Corfu where we tied up stern to at Gouvia marina enjoying the luxury of electricity (airconditioning!!) and heaps of fresh water.
