Paxo became a member of the family after he was found roaming the street after his owner apparently lost him a few years ago - to the dismay of a neighbor's cat.
On many occasions, Paxo has faked his own death in a ploy to get someone to peer into his cage only to be ran at and angrily attacked, me especially and tonight, after many years I feared it was his end after spotting his poor health this morning.
When I looked he was motionless with one wing in the air and a wooden pole embedded in the bird, after consulting the Cockateil first aid webpage - !http://www.cockatiel.org/articles/firstaid.html - I came to the conclusion that he was simply dead.
