Peace   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
Peace is generally defined as a state of quiet or tranquillity, as an absence of disturbance or agitation (Latin derivation Pax = Absentia Belli).
Proponents of the concept of positive peace argue that in a society where there is the structual and cultural oppression of one group by another, though there may be no violence, such a situation cannot be considered peace.
True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.
