  PEACE on EARTH
Thus love is dependent on peace, freedom and harmony; harmony is dependent on love, freedom and peace; peace is dependent on love, harmony and freedom as well as freedom on peace, harmony and love.
According to reports, the peace symbol was used for the first time on Easter 1958 at a march in the form of a demonstration from London to a company that manufactured atomic weapons in Aldermaston.
All of this means that the human beings of today and the peace movement erroneously identify with an imaginary, incorrect peace symbol and, therefore, in truth court and evoke non-peace and death, disharmony and unkindness as well as war, annihilation, destruction and everything rotten and evil.

 A Definition of Peace
It is the kind of peace maintained by a “peace through strength” posture that has led to the arms race, stockpiles of nuclear weapons, and the ultimate threat of mutually assured destruction.
Peace as the mere absence of war is what Woolman (1985) refers to as “negative peace.” This definition is based on Johan Galtung’s ideas of peace.
Of course, the quest for peace and the abolition of war will be a long one requiring us to dig deeper into the very depths of the human and institutional psyches which lead “civilized” peoples to resort to force and, hopefully, to find and build the elusive “peace”.

Peace on Earth—which man throughout the ages has so longed for and sought after—can never be established, never guaranteed, except by the diligent observance of the divinely established order.
There is a common belief that under modern conditions peace cannot be assured except on the basis of an equal balance of armaments and that this factor is the probable cause of this stockpiling of armaments.
But this requires that the fundamental principles upon which peace is based in today's world be replaced by an altogether different one, namely, the realization that true and lasting peace among nations cannot consist in the possession of an equal supply of armaments but only in mutual trust.

One of her unfortunate choices of decorating apparel for her home was the aforementioned “peace wreath,” an evergreen ensemble of green and red, wound into the familiar visual reminder of the sixties.

Pope John XXIII 11 April 1963 Peace on Earth
Peace on earth, which all men of every era have most eagerly yearned for, can be firmly established only if the order laid down by God be dutifully observed.
Given these conditions, it is obvious that individual countries cannot rightly seek their own interests and develop themselves in isolation from the rest, for the prosperity and development of one country follows partly in the train of the prosperity and progress of all the rest and partly produces that prosperity and progress.
However, Peace will be but an empty-sounding word unless it is founded on the order which this present document has outlined in confident hope: an order founded on truth, built according to justice, vivified and integrated by charity, and put into practice in freedom.
