Though the name was shortened two years later by the Arkansas State legislature, the designation of John M. Clayton as the person for whom the county was named was not changed.
This caused trouble for those living west of the rivers, however, and in 1881 Corning was re-established as the seat of the Western District, with Boydsville remaining the seat of the Eastern District.
Louis, Arkansas and Texas Railroad in 1882, other towns such as Greenway, Rector and Piggott experienced growth.

Peach scab is caused by a fungus (Cladosporium carpophilum) that overwinters in twig lesions.
Peach twig borers are usually not a problem in orchards that are sprayed each year at the delayed dormant period with lime-sulfur or with a 3% oil emulsion.

Last year in June 2003, the first fractal formation in U. was in a Knobel wheat field only a few miles from Peach Orchard.
On Tuesday, May 25 BLT got a call from Arkansas announcing the first formation of the season--found the day before (5/24/04) by a Clay County crop-duster while spraying a nearby field.
This circle is in an area nearby last summer's Knobel, Arkansas event and has a somewhat similar design aspect, looking quite a bit like formations called "St.Catherine's Wheels" in the UK years ago.

From the aerial photo of this Arkansas formation it appears that the design has features that would suggest it to be manmade.
As this crop circle is in nearly the same area and of a similar time of year as the last Arkansas crop circle, which was also suspect and controversial.
Also the design being similar to English crop circles of past years would lend itself to being copied similarly as last years Arkansas formation was a very similar design to some English crop circles of the past.
