Last but not least, the John Butler Trio will appear as a headlining act on the Big Day Out Festival in Australia and New Zealand, the 2005 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, as well as performing live March 22 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, opening for the Black Crowes kick-off reunion gig.

Ground and Sky review - Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
By that I mean that sterling compositions like "Peaches en Regalia" and "Little Umbrellas" have a much higher probability of dispelling the stereotype of "that weirdo with the moustache" for the Zappa-ignorant, than say, "Duke of Prunes" or "Who are the Brain Police?" (which, though great in their own way, would probably reinforce it).
This album is practically also an Ian Underwood album, as from a musician's perspective he's all over this baby, providing stormin' work on keys and sax.
The first is "Peaches en Regalia", a remarkably complex yet tuneful little instrumental that displays Zappa's awesome arranging and production talents as layer upon layer of Ian Underwood's saxes twist and turn all over each other.

Such support is important for Dawson, an extremely humble musician who describes forming The Moldy Peaches with a then 12-year-old Adam Green because he was the only person who didn’t intimidate her too much to reveal her lyrics.
For Dawson, the experience of working with a team of crack musicians, including Third Eye Blind bassist Arian Salazar, percussionist Brian Mantia, formerly of Primus and currently of Guns ‘N Roses and guitarist Joe Gore, who has played with PJ Harvey, was both intimidating and rewarding.
For Dawson, who attended Evergreen College in Olympia, Wash., it was a natural fit to work with a label born of a homemade philosophy well-suited to her own and staffed by many old friends.
