I thought I had my second view of the peak along here, a spectacular turret rising up in front of me, but I found out later that it was a subsidiary formation named the Watchtower.
This blocks views of Tower Peak from this angle, although it’s so impressive from this viewpoint that I wouldn’t be surprised if it played a role in the peak’s naming.
