IOL: Gardaí accused of beating protestor
Garda Ronan Judge and Garda Thomas Victory of Store Street Garda Station, and Garda Paul Daly from Pearse Street Station have all denied assaulting Rory McMonagle, aged 23, of Neville Road, Rathgar, on May 6, 2002.
He said they were aggressively pushing people from the street onto the pavement, and in his opinion, they did so "without proper consideration" of those already on the pavement.
Mr McMonagle, a Trinity College student at the time, told the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jury that by the time the protest moved from Burgh Quay to Dame Street and onto College Green at around 6pm to 7pm, gardaí "appeared to have had enough".

Dublin: Articles on Dublin (current) from Fablis Online Encyclopedia
Though Dublin was in terms of street layout a medieval city akin to Paris, in the eighteenth century (as Paris would in the nineteenth century) it underwent a major rebuilding, with the Wide Streets Commission demolishing many of the narrow medieval streets and replacing them with large Georgian streets.
While the development of Temple Bar was far preferable to its obliteration under a 1980s multi-story bus station, many people have criticised some aspects of its development, arguing that the new Temple Bar tourist area has failed to show sufficient sensitivity to the potential that had existed.
Among the famous streets to appear following this redesign were Sackville Street (now called O'Connell Street), Dame Street, Westmoreland Street and D'Olier Street, all built following the demolition of narrow medieval streets and their amalgamation.

To Hear the Angels Sing, a Dublin City Christmas Story
Mally was headed for the Pearse Street Dart station for the train ride home, and she was thinking about going a bit out of her way on purpose so she could see this part of Dublin in its winter clothing.
That was the first thing Mally noticed as she walked out of the St. Stephen's Green Shopping Center and into the waning Christmas Eve bustle at the end of Grafton Street.
On Upper Baggot Street she saw a candle glowing in a window, and she knew she would be late to light the traditional candle in her own window.

Stand up to violance - Be Peaceful - Thursday 6pm Pearse Street Garda Station.
No police were hert in the "riot" and there is no evidence (picture or video) that the protesters were in anyway violent, there is however a very large amount of evidence to support the claims that the Police attacked (unprovoked) a peaceful street party leading too 14 people needing hospitle treatment.
The Gards irrisponsible actions put everybody at risk and they must be held accountable for there sickening acts of random violance against unarmed people.

We are diagonally across the Green from Grafton Street, and due south of Baggot street.
We are on the right hand side of the Terrace, and for reasons of traffic safety, it might be easier to cross via the traffic island to your right, rather than going straight on,and trying to cross Earlsfort Terrace itself.

Tim Cooper, director of buildings at TCD, stressed that the proposed multi-storey complex along with other buildings earmarked for the site close to Pearse Street Station would hinge on its architectural quality.
He said that in the long run plans to redevelop the so-called 'north-east corner' of the campus would create more space for student accommodation and a new swimming pool and sports complex.
Ross said he would stand against the project both in Trinity and in the Seanad.
